Due to the current unfavorable epidemiological situation in the world, DMI-2021 is supposed to be held in a hybrid format: online through a conference on the Zoom platform and offline (Vyborg, Russia), from the 6th to the 10th of September 2021.

In the offline format, DMI-2021 will be held in Vyborg.

Vyborg is one of the most beautiful Russian city. This is due to its location and natural features, because the city is located on the Karelian Isthmus, on the shore of the Gulf of Finland.

DMI 2021

The city of Vyborg, founded by the Swedes in 1293, during its history was part of states with different cultures and still bears their imprint. Modern scholars distinguish Swedish, Russian, Finnish, Soviet and modern periods of the city's history. Surprisingly, despite its turbulent military history, Vyborg has preserved more than 300 monuments of history and culture, as well as samples of gardening art.

The main attractions of Vyborg are, first of all, fortifications. Two towers and a bastion of the old Vyborg fortress, a castle, buildings of Swedish construction are the famous tourist destinations of the city.

Today Vyborg is a modern city of great importance in the economic and cultural development of the region, water, rail and road transport hub in the northwest of Russia.
