5th Workshop on Inelastic Neutron Scattering "Spectrina - 2020"

11-12 November 2020 Gatchina, NRC KI PNPI

Workshop on Inelastic Neutron Scattering SPECTRINA 2020 is a meeting devoted to investigations of dynamics of the matter by the methods of inelastic neutron scattering. The scope of the workshop covers a wide range of topical issues related to the investigations of lattice dynamics and magnetic excitations in condensed matter. Scientific activity in these directions represent the cutting edge of modern condensed matter physics. Materials of SPECTRINA are expected to become a guideline for the development of a scientific program as well as inelastic neutron instrumentation at new reactor PIK.

The Workshop will be held in a hybrid format: participants from PNPI will be able to participate on-site, participants from other Institutes - online

Topics
The program of the workshop will be concentrated on the following topics:

  • Condensed matter studies by inelastic neutron scattering
  • Triple-axes spectrometry
  • TOF neutron spectrometry
  • Spin-echo spectrometry
  • Development of instruments and technology in modern neutron spectroscopy
  • Combined neutron-synchrotron spectroscopy
